I'm an Associate Professor in the Pure Math department at the University of Waterloo, and a member of the Institute for Quantum Computing.
I work on the mathematics of quantum information and computation. Previously I worked in Lie theory and algebraic combinatorics, and I still do some work in these areas. For more information, see my research page, papers, or talks.
I've been working on turning my notes for PMATH 343 at Waterloo into a book called Linear algebra and quantum probability.
For information about graduate and undergraduate research opportunities, see my teaching page.
I have a podcast and a Youtube channel. Aside from this, I don't have much of a presence on the internet (in particular, I don't use social media). I sometimes get mistaken for other Slofstras on the internet. If it's not mentioned on this website, it's probably not me.
